Chicken Noodle Casserole

A classic comfort dish that combines chicken, creamy sauce, and tender noodles, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 3 cups egg noodles, cooked
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas and carrots work well)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the shredded cooked chicken, cooked egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, frozen mixed vegetables, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Stir until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. If using breadcrumbs, combine with a tablespoon of melted butter, then sprinkle over the cheese.
  5. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.
