Easy Roasted Whole Chicken

A juicy and flavorful roasted whole chicken, perfect for family dinners and meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Fresh herbs (e.g., thyme, rosemary)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken by patting it dry with paper towels.
  3. Season generously with salt and pepper, both inside and out.
  4. Add olive oil and massage it into the skin.
  5. Stuff the chicken with crushed garlic, lemon halves, and fresh herbs.
  6. Roast in the oven for 1 to 1.5 hours, until the internal temperature is 165°F (75°C).
  7. Rest the chicken for 10–15 minutes before carving.

Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked properly and avoid overcooking for a juicier result.
