Comforting French Onion Chicken Rice Bake

A warm and satisfying casserole that combines the rich flavors of French onion soup with tender chicken and rice.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Mix the cooked rice, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese and French fried onions over the casserole.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, until the edges are bubbling and the top is golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, garnish with parsley and remaining onions, and serve warm.

Notes

For the best results, ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before mixing. This dish can be made in advance and reheated.
