Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

A moist, sweet bread made with ripe bananas and chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in melted butter into the mashed bananas. Then, mix in sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture, and stir in flour until just incorporated.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Ensure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor and sweetness. Do not overmix the batter; mix until just combined to prevent a dense texture.
